I Am Sort of Taking a Vacation

It is not really a vacation at all, because Jennifer has a to do list that would choke a horse and I am working my way through it. I started out with all of the stuff that I knew how to do and which would not require a lot of time, effort or money. The next thing up is to find shower doors in Union county NJ. That sounds pretty simple, but you have to figure out what Jennifer will like us to have and what is practical for me to install with no more help than I can get from her brother Louie. I am not saying that Louie is not capable of doing things, but the things he can do involve moving numbers around on spreadsheets and that sort of thing. It is going to be a lot better if I do not have to count upon him, or for that matter to ask too much of me.

After that she wants me to plant a bunch of roses, which is going to be pretty expensive and will require me to get the roto tiller running. Right now it is not going to start up until I fix the starter rope, which broke at the end of the spring, fortunately after I had tilled up my garden and it was ready enough for planting. Of course I could just build raised beds which would not need that, but instead I would just have to get a lot of top soil and probably about ten bags of manure. That was how my grandfather would grow enormous crops of tomatoes. He always had a couple of horses and maybe a mule or a couple of ponies, and these provided all that he needed to grow his tomatoes and the vegetables in his garden.
